La historia empieza cuando el Alcalde de Macca contrata a varios caza-recompensas con el fin de proteger su pueblo de un famoso ladrón llamado Gasbag. De visita en el pueblo, Meryl y Milly se vuelven a encontrar con Vash, pero antes de un feliz reencuentro, la banda de Gasbag entra a Macca aunque se topará con Vash en su camino. Película basada en el manga original, si bien cuenta una historia completamente nueva que tampoco se narró en el anime.
