SINOPSIS:
La Historia comienza cuando un extraño enmascarado (El Renegado Fantasma) trata de robar una medalla escarabajo muy valiosa, en su intento por escapar, pierde la medalla. Donde el protagonista, Ikki, la encuentra por casualidad en la orilla de un río. No obstante, el muchacho no tiene un medabot por falta de dinero, pero consigue comprarse un modelo antiguo y muy barato al cual henry le recomienda llamarlo Metabee
Pero en una batalla fortuita, Metabee despierta y fulmina a su rival con la ametralladora de su antebrazo, ganando la batalla y sorprendiendo a todos. Este es el inicio de una gran aventura donde Metabee, un medabot malhumorado y solitario con la medalla escarabajo, e Ikki, un adolescente que sabe mucho de las estrategias de batalla aunque inexperto en las mismas, tendrán como objetivo ser los mejores de todo Japón y representar al país en el torneo mundial que se celebra.
