Sosuke Sagara es un soldado de élite que pertenece a la fuerza especial independiente conocida como "Mithril". Mithril es una fuerza militar que lucha contra el terrorismo en todo el planeta. Con tecnología muy superior a la de las naciones normales, Mithril interfiere en honor a la justicia.
A Sagara, el segundo oficial bajo el comando Mithril, se le asigna el deber de proteger a una chica llamada Kaname Chidori, que asiste al insituto en Japón. Para llevar a cabo esta tarea, Sosuke pretende hacerse pasar por un estudiante de intercambio en el colegio de Kaname. En cuanto inicia su "rol" de compañero de clase, un complot para secuestrar a Chidori se pone en marcha. ¿Cuál es el papel de Chidori en esta historia? ¿Por qué parece poseer conocimientos de alta tecnología que se ha inventado recientemente?
