Light Yagami (Raito, se pronuncia en japonés) es un excelente estudiante japonés que tiene una vida en la que aborrece al mundo en el que vive, siente asco de la realidad. Esto cambia radicalmente cuando encuentra tirado en el suelo un misterioso cuaderno en cuya portada se lee Death Note (Cuaderno de la Muerte) en el cual, al escribir el nombre de una persona, ésta muere (Teniendo una serie de reglas para regular y variar su uso). Light se mantiene escéptico hasta probar la eficacia del Death Note en dos ocasiones. Pasados algunos días lo visita Ryuk, un Shinigami (dios de la muerte), que le explica sobre la existencia de dicha especie y de las Death Notes. El cuaderno es usado para matar a aquellos cuyo nombre sea escrito en él, por lo que Light decide usarlo para limpiar el mundo de maldad.

Death note es una historia brillante de mucho suspenso y que ya muchos la colocan entre las primeras mejores series que han visto (me incluyo entre ellos).

ya que hay muchas personas como yo que les gusta más la versión fansub y también otra gran cantidad que les gusta en español (preferentemente latino), he subido ambas versiones.
