Sinopsis

Hideki Motosuwa es un joven granjero de 18 años que aspira entrar a la Universidad Harete (Tokio, Japón). Aunque se convierte en un rônin al suspender el examen de ingreso, decide intentarlo nuevamente. Por ello, viaja a la capital, alquila un departamento y comienza un preuniversitario.

En su primer día de estancia en Tokio, de vuelta de hacer las compras, se encuentra una Persocon de figura femenina tirada en la basura, la recoge y la lleva a su departamento.

Una vez que logra activarla descubre que no es un modelo común y corriente, ya que no sabe hablar y parece no comprender nada. Si bien Hideki no es muy entendido en Persocons opta por quedársela y llamarla por la única palabra que dice: ""Chii"".

La historia continuará desarrollándose en base a las aventuras por descubrir la naturaleza de esta misteriosa persocon, al mismo tiempo que Hideki se enfrenta a los problemas comunes de un adolescente acentuados por su origen rural, su timidez, y por supuesto: ""Chii"".
