En un mundo donde el poderoso jefe de los robots conocido como Braiking Boss gobierna a la humanidad con mano dura, una joven misteriosa llamada Luna es invocada por la gente para que los salve, para contrarestar esta suceso Braiking envia a tres de sus más poderosos Cybors; Casshern, Dio y Reda para que la aniquilen, Casshern el más fuerte de los tres mata a Luna pero casi destruye al mundo. Cientos de años más tarde la atmosfera está envenenada y la raza humana está casi extinguida, Los Robots están constatemente cambiando sus partes debido a que le temen a la corrosión debido al veneno que está en la atmosfera lo cual los puede matar. En estos momentos de caos y tormento Casshern vuelve después de un largo tiempo y de haber matado a Luna, habiendo perdido su memoria ahora Casshern defiende a los seres humanos de los robots mientras descubre quién verdaderamente es él y cuál es su propósito.
Casshern es un robot que se levanta en contra del ejercito de robots que está destruyendo a la humanidad.
