SINOPSIS:
Sakura Kinomoto es una niña normal y corriente que asiste a la escuela primaria. Un día, al llegar del colegio, escucha unos ruidos extraños en el sótano. Armada con su bastón de animadora, se decide a bajar para conocer la causa del ruido. Sakura descubre un libro repleto con las cartas Clow. Como niña curiosa agarra una carta, la del viento, provocando la dispersión del resto de la baraja. Esto despierta al guardián de las cartas, un ser amarillo con forma de muñeco, que permaneció dormido hasta ese momento, responsable de los ronquidos atrajeron a Sakura. En vista de las circunstancias, Sakura deberá, con la ayuda del guardián, atrapar todas las cartas y llegar a ser una maestra de cartas. Para esto, Kero- chan (apodo cariñoso dado al guardián keroberos) le entrega una llave que le concederá los poderes para sellar las cartas. Dichas cartas, una vez capturadas, otorgan a Sakura habilidades especiales dependiendo de la naturaleza de la carta.
