Sinopsis:
Makoto es un fotógrafo japonés que llega a una base secreta en el centro del desierto, Área 88. De allí los pilotos salen constantemente para realizar misiones en las que arriesgan sus vidas. Uno de los pilotos, Shin, también de origen japonés, atrae la atención de Makoto... ¿Por qué arriesga su vida por un país que no es el suyo?
Makoto comenta que encuentra interesante como dos personas con el mismo nombre, solamente pronunciado de distinta manera, pueden tomar caminos tan diferentes. Obviamente el destino les tiene algo resevado...
